History

The Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference was established in 2017. As robotics grew across the state of Minnesota, "HUB's" began to form to serve as regional connection points for teams to grow their programs with the help of one another. The founding members of the NMRC believed that the next step was to establish a full fledged conference. We believed that with the growth of the "Sport for the Mind" and the recognition by the MSHSL for Robotics that this would help bring credibility to our organizations. We believe that it would allow school boards, administration, students, and community members to look at us in a new light.

The first Conference Tournament was held at Cass Lake-Bena HS in 2017.
