What is the NMRC...

The Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference was created by regional high school Robotics teams in order to provide a competitive structure for the co-oppertition and growth of Robotics in Northern Minnesota...

North S.T.A.R .Center Initiative

The NMRC supports a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of students in our region. Many of these can be tied to the rural isolation many of them face. With this in mind we have developed programs here in our region to address this inequity due to geography. To support these efforts the NMRC & Beltrami County Ag Association have teamed up.

NMRC: Is in need of a space to operate from as they carry out STEM related activities and services covering more than 35,000 square miles in the region while providing opportunities for thousands of kids.

Beltrami County Ag Association: Is in need of bringing more technology education to the region. With the Ag Industry utilizing technology at a rapid pace, and in new ways, more must be done locally to prepare the next generation of agriculture producers and consumers.

FIRST Robotics Competition

The NMRC is not an official arm of FIRST or MN-FIRST. However our mission, goals, and spirit are based on those of FIRST.

We consider ourselves a complimentary organization to FIRST. It has served as the foundation upon which we have built our organization. It is our intent to continue expanding upon and broadening FIRST related events, game play, and its mission here in Northern Minnesota.

Minnesota State High School League

The NMRC is proud to be the first robotics conference officially recognized by the Minnesota State High School League.

While the MSHSL does not have direct governance over MN-FIRST and the Regional events, they do sponsor and partner with FIRST to put on the Minnesota State Robotics Championship each year.
